Hey Reader, In the web design and marketing world, we measure success by tracking metrics like conversion rate, ROI, loading speed... the list of jargon goes on. Don't get me wrong - at Maple, we're sticklers for high performing websites. But we need to balance the numbers (tangible impact) with the feelings and mindsets (intangible impact). Gwyn Wansbrough helps educators increase the connection and engagement in their online courses. She teaches virtual facilitation through her online courses & cohort based program. I've come to believe that to design great websites we need to think like facilitators and create an experience. That goes for the process of building the website too. "Before with my Squarespace site, I was like, ‘Oh, well, here’s the website link, but excuse the website, it has to be updated.’ Now, I feel confident that the course is well represented." This is so nice to hear. For this month's case study, we interviewed Gwyn about her website rebuild project. I LOVED knowing that her new site inspired a feeling of confidence in Gwyn, and that it helped her level up her teaching and business. The tangible result of a redesign is being proud to share your website, seeing an increase in subscribers, sales, and impact. Her new website included migrating over a hundred blog posts, creating a sales page for her cohort based program, and designing an engagement ladder for her offers. See if you can spot it! Read the post on the Maple Creative Blog to see before/after pictures of the website and learn more about how we did it.
Finally, we have a new series of events coming up all about redesigning your website. More on that coming soon. Best, PS - If you've been coming to any of our weekly workshops, you can thank Gwyn for teaching me how to lead and facilitate events :) |
